Creative Fund

A new arts funding project, supporting artists, practitioners, performers and societies in Bath and the surrounding areas...

The Theatre Royal Bath’s Creative Fund aims to enrich local cultural activity by awarding funds to innovative creative projects taking place within a 20 mile radius of the Theatre Royal Bath.

Details of this year's Creative Fund application window will be announced later in the year. Any speculative applications submitted before the official date will not be considered.

What will the Creative Fund support..?
The Creative Fund aims to support all of the ‘arts’ - so as well as theatre based projects we will consider grants for projects incorporating dance, music, comedy, literature, sculpture, painting, poetry, street performance and the visual arts.

Can I apply..?
We welcome applications from registered charities, not-for-profit voluntary and/or community organisations, universities, schools, colleges and community interest companies.
If you are involved with an independent arts project, unconnected to the Theatre Royal Bath, and a member of a constituted group, you are eligible to apply.

How much can I apply for..?
The amount to be awarded from this fund will vary depending on the nature of the project and the availability of funds from the Theatre Royal Bath each year.
We would expect your application to fall within one of two categories:
Small grants £500 - £5,000
Large grants £5,000 - £10,000

How do I apply..?
You can apply in writing using the Creative Fund application forms. The application form and full guidelines can be downloaded from the links on this page. If you have any problems with downloading, please contact the Creative Fund Co-ordinators at who will be able to provide hard copies by post.

When can I apply..?
Application dates for 2018 will be announced next year.

Announcements will be made about which projects have been successful before the end of the year.

We look forward to receiving applications from all organisations and supporting many projects across all art forms. Our Creative Fund Co-ordinators will be available throughout the application process to support your applications and offer advice where needed. They will work with you and your organisation throughout the process, as well as assessing the end results of your project.
